The works lies by the side of a minor road, with a single large building forming the workshops, equipment store, and loco shed. The tippler is just to the left of the photograph.

None of the peat is stockpiled or even processed on this site. A couple of times per day the Bord na Mona lorry arrives to transport the peat elsewhere.

LM246 has just arrived in with a short train and waits for the arrival of the lorry to unload the peat.

Wagonmaster LM246 (No.6325/1965). One other loco was working out on the bog but was not seen.

Rustons in original condition on Bord na Mona are rare. This example was found at the back of the workshops.

The size of these large bogie wagons is evident in this photograph.

Each wagon is pulled onto the tippler and slowly revolved through about 45%.

When these photos were taken in April 2004 only a couple of trains per day were run.
