S C Lenartowice A few kilometers to the north of Pleszew a cramics factory was found in operation that had a clay pit next to the factory. In October 2000 a continuous rope worked incline worked down to the pit. At the bottom of the pit a Wls40 loco hauled the skips to a bucket and chain excavator.

The Wls40 loco working here was in a very poor state of repair, but had only a short distance to transport the skips to the bottom of the incline.

The loco was Wls40, ZNTK No.1408 built in 1963.

A small brickbuilt loco shed was to the right of the incline, and a derelict loco was dumped in the bushes nearby.

At the foot of the incline the loco ran round the skips and backed them up to the winding drum.

The loco then waited for the next set of skips to be lowered down

As the loaded skips are taken up, the empties are lowered down on the other track for the next journey to the excavator.

A second line leading off from just behind the camera had served another pit at one time, but was not in use by 2000. The exact closing date is unknown, but it had closed a few years after the date of the visit.
