AUSTRIA

There are still several industrial narrow gauge systems still operating in Austria. A couple of systems associated with various types of mining still survive, and a single brickworks railway is still in daily use. There is also the unique 500mm gauge hospital railway in Vienna.

The ÖBB, and the Steiermärkische Landesbahnen still move freight, mostly on standard gauge transporters, on several of the narrow gauge systems.
